Stråsjöleden, pilgrim route, one of the Saint Olav ways from sea to sea across the Scandianvian peninsula!
At the Swedish coast you start, continue through villages and deep forest, following the lakes and rivers, up to the high mountains (fjäll) where the route connects to the longer route, "Helgonleden", Route of the Saints from Uppsala towards Trondheim.
The pilgrim route Stråsjöleden, is mostly very easy to walk, since it follows the old routes or minor roads.
Here you will meet both the scenery of the coast along northern Sweden, "Jungfrukusten", The virgin coast. Then the big , redpainted traditional farmhouses of Hälsingland, the deep forest and the lakes that mirrors the colours of the blue mountains.
You will meet the province of Hälsingland, a variated and beutiful province. Also you will see a part of the provincce of Medelpad, by the streaming water in Haverö, "Haverö strömmar" and the lake system around. Then, in the province ot Jämtland, you will reach the high montains, the "Fjäll", before you finally continue on "Helgonleden", the Route of the Saints, following the ancient paths of Kårböle route.
